Cookies & cream slice, decadent millionaire’s shortbread and irresistible sausage rolls were among the treats at our MacMillan coffee morning. The event, held on September 24th, was organised by Flexspace’s wonderful Social Committee team and raised more than £215 for Macmillan.
Members of the Flexspace HQ baked an array of delights and throughout the day, the meeting room was a hive of activity as Occupiers and Flexspace staff popped in to indulge in a cake and a coffee. Aleks from Oxygen Therapy (https://www.oxygen-therapy.uk/), an innovative wellness business based at Flexspace Peterborough, enjoyed the event “thank you to all involved for organizing such a noble event. The cakes were delicious, but more importantly, those in need will get some help.”
We were treated to an impromptu and impressive speed cubing demo by Occupier Daniel of Speedcubing.org. Based in a Flexible Business Unit at our Peterborough site, Daniel has a successful Speed Cubing business selling more than 700 puzzles, from fruit shaped puzzles for children to the complex and multi-faceted Megaminx Pro.
With multiple medals in official World Cube Association competitions, Daniel is a true speedcubing expert. He not only sells the puzzles, he uses his experience to review and recommend speedcubes. A Flexible Business Unit is the perfect space for Daniel’s business, providing room for racking and storage as well as a modern and comfortable base to film his reviews and pack orders. Daniel presented us with a speed cube, challenged us to jumble up the pieces and then proceeded to amaze us with his speed and dexterity as he solved the puzzle in a flash!
Daniel of Speedcubing.org amazing us with his puzzle prowess.
